Registration Agreement

This is a PRIVATE, CLOSED forum for members of the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, "Volunteer's In Partnership" (VIP) program. Membership is by invitation only. There is nothing here for the public.  Thanks.

You agree, by your use of hcso.vip forums, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of another person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any State, International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on hcso.vip forums.

Please understand that it is impossible for the staff or owner of hcso.vip forums to confirm the validity of all posts. We do not actively monitor all of the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of the Henderson County Sheriff, The Henderson County Sheriff's Office, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office Volunteers In Partnership (V.I.P) program, the hcso.vip forum owner, its staff, or its subsidiaries. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator immediately. The staff and owner of the hcso.vip forum, at our discretion, reserve the right to remove objectionable content if we deem it necessary. This is a manual process, and we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to member profile information as well as posted messages.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Henderson County Sheriff, The Henderson County Sheriff's Office, The Henderson County Sheriff's Office Volunteers In Partnership (V.I.P.) program, the owner of the hcso.vip forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries from any and all issues arising from information contained within posted messages on the hcso.vip forums. The owner of hcso.vip forums may be required to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this forum) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of the forum.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. Please use your real name. If you are a V.I.P. volunteer, and will be requesting access to the V.I.P. section, it is the only way we can validate that you are, indeed, a volunteer. You will have the ability to edit your personal profile to change your "screen name" after your account is created and activated, but please use your real name to create your account. Besides, we believe that people who hide behind aliases are more apt to say derogatory things than they would if their true identity were known.

For your personal protection and validity reasons, you agree to never give your password to this account to any another person. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account, for any reason. To prevent theft of your account, we HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password.

After you register and login to the hcso.vip forums, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present accurate information. Any information the hcso.vip forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded. It is retained in case your ISP must be contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.

Also note that the forum software places a cookie, (a small text file) in your computer's browser's cache. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to or from your computer.

By accepting this agreement, you are also agreeing to be notified by email, when someone replies to a topic you have either started, or replied to. You may turn these notifications on or off at any time after your account has been activated.

Any personal information we collect from you, will NEVER be shared or sold to any other third party.
